Wii Party Tops Japanese Charts at 235,000 Sold Playstation 2 - Friday 16th July 2010
Wii Party debuted strong in Japan last week. According to sales figures gathered by Media Create (via Gamesindustry.biz) for the period of July 5 through 11, retailers moved approximately 235,000 copies of the Nintendo-developed multiplayer game following its release overseas exactly one week ago.
Despite arriving on store shelves just a few days before the week came to a close, Wii Party still managed to top Media Create's sales charts. Other big winners from last week included a pair of games from developer Level-5: White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness, which sold about 176,000 units, and Inazuma Eleven 3: World Challenge for the DS at 98,000.
