Game Overview
DanceDanceRevolution is the new name for Dancing Stage titles and retains all of the aspects that have made the previous incarnations one of the most popular brands Konami publishes. DanceDanceRevolution: Hottest Party 2 is the second title to be released on the Nintendo Wii and yet again it offers an unparalleled level of interaction thanks to the unique Wii controllers.

With over 25 licenced tracks from the last four decades including the smash hit Number 1 ‘Umbrella’ there is plenty to keep all music fans entertained and enough game styles to challenge all DanceDanceRevolution pros.

The customizable ‘Workout Mode’ lets users set their own parameters and goals to enable the game to function as a fitness tool as well as an entertaining Wii title!

The ‘Groove Arena Mode’ is a form of career mode whereby the players begin dancing in smaller arenas and gradually win fans with their skills and routines. As the fan base grows, so do the gigs and the size of the arenas as the player’s popularity rises. New tracks are unlockable in this mode that are then useable throughout the game. Players can also use their Mii’s in Hottest Party 2 as a customized avatar instead of premade dancers.

Use of the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck is also standard in Hottest Party 2, meaning the dancing routines are more varied and require a great deal more skill to master as players have to combine hand and arm movements with the traditional timings of their feet.
